Job Description

As a Retail Sales Associate at True Value Store in Hayward, Wisconsin, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our team in creating a welcoming and efficient shopping environment. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in home repairs and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Your passion for home improvement and teamwork will contribute to our customer’s success and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner; 
• Providing expert advice on home repair products and solutions;
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor;
• Ensuring products are stocked, labeled, and displayed attractively;
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of various home repair techniques and tools;
• Helping customers make informed purchasing decisions;
• Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and maintain high standards of customer service. 
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. 
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, conducting stock checks, and restocking shelves. 
• Help customers load large items and ensure they have a positive experience at our store. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.

Qualifications

Previous retail experience preferred, especially in a hardware or home improvement setting.
Strong knowledge of home repair techniques, tools, and materials. 

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
