On May 24, 2024 the Northern Lakes True Value held a Back the Blue Fundraiser for the City of Hayward Police Department. The event extended from 10:00am to 2:00pm and included options for on-site donations, in lieu of your kind and generous donation the Northern Lakes True Value provided the following donated gifts:
The goal was to help raise $2,000 for purposes of purchasing a laptop for the cruisers to increase communications, access information and keep public safety a priority. Back the Blue ReviewThe day included team members from the Northern Lakes True Value along with the support of the City of Hayward Police Department making personal pan pizzas with an Ooni Pizza Oven for just $5.00. Additional food options included Bomb Dog with their generous offering, which included donating a portion of sales and all of the tips for the day to the City of Hayward Police Department. As shoppers would pop in, they would make a generous donation and receive their items, purchase a personal pan pizza or grab a couple of Hot Dogs and all were to benefit the City of Hayward Police Department.
After all donations were collected, tabulated and counted. Advance Printing of Hayward was able to get a large check for the presentation. Northern Lakes True Value Manager, Chris Hofer, and Northern Lakes Cooperative General Manager, Mike Covelli, and Gerald Becker, owner of Bomb Dog presented the check for $6,726.33 to the City of Hayward Police Department, Marsh Savitski, and Intern, Abby. Corporate sponsors included True Value, Milwaukee, and Electrolux who donated the Weber Genesis LP Gas Grill, Milwaukee String Trimmer, and Electrolux Vacuum. A special thanks goes out to all that made this possible, and to help support your local law enforcement agency.
